Pastor
Matt Marrs
Matt has served at Northland since 1996. In addition to serving as pastor at Northland, he is the Regional Director for the Send Network of the North American Mission Board for the Midwest. He and his wife Kerry have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and one daughter.
Pastor
Rustin Umstattd
Rustin has been a member at Northland since 2009 and has served as one of the pastors since 2015. He is married to Leslie and they have two daughters. In addition to serving on the pastoral team at Northland, he teaches for Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Tyler Rosas
Tyler has served as one of the pastors since 2019. He is married to Abby and they have two sons, Titus and Ezekiel, and a daughter, Hosanna. In addition to serving at Northland, Tyler works full-time and teaches at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor of Students
Andy Sander
Andy has been the Student Pastor at Northland since 2015. He has a passion for student ministry. In addition to serving at Northland, Andy substitute teaches for various school districts in the Kansas City area.

Office Manager
Misty Jackson
Misty and her husband, Larry, became members in 2015. They are parents to one busy little boy. She joined the office staff in 2017 and when she isn't serving in there, you can find her coordinating special events at the church. She and her family feel blessed to call Northland home.
Director of Children's Ministry
Sharon Zuercher
Sharon has been a member at Northland since 2011 and has served as Children’s Director since 2017, joining the office staff in 2019. She attends the University of Kansas where she is pursing a degree in social work.

Women's Discipleship
Rebecca Adams
Rebecca has loved serving at Northland since 2022. She cares deeply about families growing together to know Jesus and equipping women to know and study the Scriptures for themselves. Her favorite things include chasing her 7 kids, dating her husband, reading good books, running in the rain, and drinking coffee.
Director of Worship Ministry
Steven Cochran
Steven has been a member of Northland since 2007. He has been the media and technologies coordinator since 2018. He is Married to Sharilyne and they have three daughters. In addition to being on staff, Steven also works as a teacher for the Park Hill School District.

Micah Marrs
Micah has grown up at Northland Church. He joined the staff as the worship leader in 2016. He is married to Maressa and they have a dog. In addition to serving at Northland, Micah is also a realtor in Kansas City.
Director of Media
Brock Mitchell
Brock joined as a member of Northland in 2020. He has been a professional audio and video engineer in the Kansas City area for more than a decade, and a lifetime resident of the Northland. He currently works full time in the Fine Arts program at Liberty Public Schools, as well as freelance for various productions.
Ministry Coordinator
Karsten Harrison
Karsten came with his family to Northland in 2015 and has been a member since. He came up in the student ministry, was a youth intern for two summers, and was a pastoral intern for 2 years. Karsten came on staff as Ministry Coordinator, aiding the team in organizing events, meetings, and other ministries. He is also a student at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Director of Facilities
Nathan Purkaple
Nathan has grown up at Northland Church and has served on our staff as a custodian since 2019. In 2022, Nathan was promoted to become the Director of Facilities here at Northland. When he's not working around the building, Nathan also enjoys volunteering in our children's ministry. Nathan is also a 3rd grade teacher for Northland Christian Schools at their KC North Campus.
